125th Year Anniversary Tour

This historic Lions' 125th Year Anniversary Tour to Hong Kong & Australia will uniquely kick off with a first ever Lions' match vs the Barbarians in Hong Kong on Saturday 1st June in the marvellous Hong Kong Stadium. Hong Kong, long time favourite venue on the IRB Sevens Tour, is looking forward to welcoming thousands of red jerseyed Lions' fans for a great weekend of events.

The Lions then head to Australia and land in Perth for their match vs Super 15 team, the Western Force at Patersons Stadium on Wednesday 5th June. Thousands of ex-pats will swell the Red Army as it adds valuable support to the Lions on a daily basis.

Transversing Australia's vast magnificent country, the Lions then head east to Brisbane for their match against the Queensland Reds. Suncorp Stadium hosts the Reds vs the Lions on Saturday 8th June. Many Red Army members have blocked off some time to head to the Gold Coast either at this stage or when back in Brisbane area for the 1st Test.

More & more Lions supporters will land and/or gravitate towards the Lions' as the 2013 Tour builds momentum towards the Test Series. The Red Army will head next to Newcastle, a comfortable 2 hour drive from Sydney, where the Lions take on a combined NSW/QLD Country side on Tuesday 11th June at Hunter Stadium.

The Lions' selection for their next game vs the NSW Waratahs will be keenly anticipated as it is then only a week to the first Test. The truly historic Sydney Football Stadium plays host to the 'Tahs vs the Lions on Saturday 15th June.

Another short road trip to the Nation's Capital in Canberra sees the Lions' take on the ACT Brumbies on Tuesday 18th June at Canberra Stadium.

The Red Army will then 'march' back to Brisbane for the 1st Test against the Qantas Wallabies at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 22nd June. Twelve years ago the Lions won the 1st Test here 29-13 and the Red Army took over Brisbane ! 'Waltzing O'Driscoll' was added to the Tour Songs repetoire and 'Delilah' roared louder than 'Matilda' !

Hopes will be high as the Lions' head south to 'sports capital' Melbourne for their game against the Melbourne Rebels on Tuesday 25th June. So many sporting, historical & cultural venues here will keep the Red Army busy prior to another huge Test confrontation against the Qantas Wallabies at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 29th June.

The third and final Lions' Test vs the Qantas Wallabies takes place in Sydney on Saturday 6th July. All Lions' fans will be hoping for a series win, whether it's clinched here - or earlier in Melbourne !!

Those lucky enough to have travelled on the 2001 Lions' tour to Australia , both on and off the pitch, truly saw the Lions' Tour as a life changing event. The Lions' tour party and their fans gelled then like never before - and this has now continued on subsequent tours to New Zealand & South Africa.

Their message clearly is GET ON BOARD AND ROAR!
